This week Laura challenged us to use the new official tangle, IX, which was created by Maria and Rick for the 9th CZT seminar.
I created my tile following the Zentangle process of corner dots and string, and this beauty is what came into being:
The part I found hardest was choosing what tangle to use for the background, so I went for one of my go-to tangles!
I'll leave you with a question... Which tangles did you pair with IX? Or did you just use IX by itself?
Happy tangling...

Nice choice. Looks great.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Claie! I myself used a lot of tangles around IX.
ReplyDeleteGreat depth on your tile! Super job!
ReplyDeleteI had the same question and ended up using only one other pattern. I like your choice and your shading. This appears very dramatic.
ReplyDeleteGreat shading you did. I myself didn't know what to do in the background, so I did just some leaves pop out of the IX and draw another line around it. Filled some space with black and some with grey. I even used the IX to create a small border around my tile.
ReplyDeleteI like your background tangle and it really suites the IX tangle. Great Job. :)
Very nice job, I love how you "went outside the lines" on this one. It really gives a nice effect.
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful, rich, tile!
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your lovely comments :D
